Hi! My name is MJ Truong. My passion is creating high-quality, well-designed products that make people’s everyday lives better and more joyful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I was born and raised in Northern California, and studied Humanities at Yale before getting my Masters of Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in New York City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was the founding member of Meyer Labs<\/a>‘ Innovation Factory team in Hong Kong in 2013. At Meyer Labs, I do everything from human-centered ethnographic design research, product design and storytelling, packaging design, branding, and digital marketing strategy, to name a few things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My team and I have been honored to win two Red Dot Design Awards, a Pentaward, and an iF Design Award, for which I am deeply grateful. I’ve also been pleased to have been awarded three patents to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In grad school<\/a>, I looked at the intersection of humanity and technology, exploring ways that we could make technology less alienating and more supportive of the things that are really important in life. It\u2019s not perfect, but I\u2019m proud of it. You can check out BEEP! sigh, here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also dabble in music, and sometimes write it a wee bit when I have free time, which is a rarity these days. Sigh! Well, retirement draws nearer every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
